Employee restaurants are located on the east and west bridges with seating for 130 people in each facility.
The staff restaurants operate on a ‘self service, self clearing’ basis and no booking is required. However, for larger groups (such as training delegates) booking is essential for lunches at the east wing facility and for lunches at the west wing.
These facilities operate on a cashless basis. The payment system works by preloading your access card with cash at the cash loading machines located in the dining rooms. The total of your meal is then deducted from the balance on the card. Visitors to BankCity will not be able to participate in the cashless system and will have to be assisted by their host for the day.
Gateways Bistro Coffee Shop is a trattoria and coffee bar that provides cappuccino and other hot beverages, gateaux, in-between snacks and good wholesome meals at lunchtime. This facility has a liquor licence for main meals and is open to all staff on a first come first serve basis. Offering upmarket décor and couches to relax in, it is the perfect place to get out of the office and unwind.
Pause areas offer dispensing machines for self-service tea/coffee and cold water, for use during refreshment breaks. Tea and coffee is dispensed free of charge, and the machines will automatically dispense a disposable cup per portion.
Snack vending machines that dispense various items such as chocolates, crisps and cold drinks, are situated in the staff dining areas and other select locations within the BankCity and other complexes.
